Fashion For Peace: Season One: Eyes on India / Eyes on New York
Fashion For Peace is a first-time fashion initiative whose mission is to promote conscious and sustainable design while simultaneously supporting global artisans/designers and their work.
For New York Fashion Week on Wednesday, February 13, 2019 designers Norma Kamali, Sabyasachi Mukherjee, Mara Hoffman, and Mimi Prober will unveil their designs in a live presentation format at Spring Studios, Gallery I at 8:00 PM. Spearheaded by Sadhguru the show will feature exclusive looks created by each of the designers utilizing Indian textiles that have been woven in a steeped tradition for generations (approximately 5,000 years).
The intention is to create an event that will help the world to understand the imprint of the fashion industry today, and provide media and consumers with a platform that celebrates consciousness, creativity, community and commerce.
“Fashion is a universal language that has the power and potential to create inclusiveness in human beings around the world.” - Sadhguru
