Yigal Azrouël debuted his eponymous women's ready to wear collection in the Fall of 1998, which received instant acclaim, both commercially and critically. By 2000, he had begun his participation at New York Fashion Week and in 2004, Azrouël was inducted into the Council of Fashion Designers of America. Azrouël defines his aesthetic using high quality fabrics to drape structured, ultra-feminine, modern siouettes. In August 2000, Azrouël opend his full-service atelier and showeroom in New York's Garment District. He opened his first boutique in 2003 at New York's Meatpacking District, and in the Fall 2012, moved his flagship to Madison Avenue on the Upper East Side. The Yigal Azrouël signature aesthetic, which can be found in his expert draping and construction has evolved throughout the years through a myriad of forms and fabrics that are modern and fresh, with a precise attention to detail.
