Custo Barcelona was created at the start of the 80s by the Dalmau brothers, Custo and David, following a kaleidoscopic journey that took them around the world. Along the way, they discovered not only new horizons but also a huge swathe of artistic, cultural, and philosophical influences.
The duo were particularly influenced by California culture: surfers, psychedelics, Hollywood stars and the explosion of color. They loved the relaxed simplicity of a basic tee worn by all and decided to bring the silhouette and attitude back to their home in Barcelona, Spain. The brothers explored state-of-the-art printing techniques, and soon the Custo brand was born.
