With a mission to pay homage to our roots through the ritual of getting dressed, NIA THOMAS’s luxe knitwear is sustainably produced in NYC, Mexico, and Peru from cellulose-based fibers and plant-based dyes as a zero-waste alternative to an often frivolous industry. Each timeless, hand-knit piece is inspired by her nomadic lifestyle and aims to transport the wearer to a place of comfort, ease, and elegance.
Our AW24 collection takes you along on an expedition of expansion for our 12th collection. Known primarily for handmade crochet pieces and seductive dresses, this collection breathes an energy of evolution while honoring our core roots. As designer Nia matures into her late 20’s, she has reminisced on family photos of her aunties and uncles wearing lavish party outfits to Studio 54 and Soul Train. She loved the idea of designing clothes that she would want to put on to go out dancing to the soulful voices of Diana Ross and Marvin Gaye in the 1970’s. This collection displays mischievous little details such as hand sewn iridescent paillettes and chunky embroidery onto cozy knits.
